Academic Integrity Policy

Effective October 1, 2026

Your application and your score have to be yours. That's not just our preference. Application services require you to certify your own work, and medical schools take misrepresentation seriously. Here's where we draw the line.

Your application is written by you

When you submit through AMCAS, AACOMAS, or TMDSAS, you certify that your essays and descriptions are your own work. We help you get there. We don’t do it for you.

What your advisor will do:

  • Ask questions that help you find your story and your strongest experiences
  • Give honest feedback on structure, clarity, tone, and what’s landing or not
  • Suggest edits, cuts, and line-level improvements to writing you’ve drafted
  • Help you plan your school list, timeline, and interview preparation
  • Run mock interviews and give direct feedback

What your advisor will never do:

  • Write your personal statement, activity descriptions, or secondary essays for you
  • Invent, exaggerate, or embellish experiences, hours, or outcomes
  • Write or edit your letters of recommendation, or contact your recommenders
  • Fill out or submit applications on your behalf
  • Give you scripted interview answers to memorize and present as your own

The MCAT is yours to take

Our tutors teach content, strategy, and test-taking skills using practice materials. They will never:

  • Ask about, share, or discuss questions or passages from a real, administered MCAT
  • Share their own AAMC login or copies of AAMC materials. Every MCAT student gets their own access
  • Help with anything that would violate the AAMC’s examinee agreement

Every test taker agrees to keep live exam content confidential. If you’ve taken the MCAT before, please don’t share what was on it. Your tutor will stop the conversation if you do.

Admissions committee experience

Some of our advisors have served on a medical school admissions committee. They share general perspective on how committees read applications. They never share confidential information about any specific applicant, deliberation, or school’s internal process, and no one at Nucleus Prep can influence an admissions decision.

Your materials stay confidential

Your essays, activities, scores, and anything else you share with us are used only to help you. We never show one student’s writing to another student, reuse it as a sample, or publish it without written permission. See our Privacy Policy for how we store and delete your materials.

If something isn’t right

If you’re ever asked to do something that conflicts with this policy, or you think a line has been crossed, email help@nucleusprep.com. We take it seriously. We may end services for anyone who asks us to violate this policy, and we’ll refund unused hours as described in our Refund & Cancellation Policy.
